The Littlefork-Big Falls School District (ISD 362) serves the educational needs of students from preschool through 12th grade. With a focus on academic excellence and community engagement, ISD 362 offers a comprehensive educational experience designed to prepare students for future success.
ISD 362 provides a diverse curriculum that includes core subjects such as language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. In addition to these foundational areas, the district offers enrichment programs in art, music, and physical education, ensuring a well-rounded education for all students.
To support student success, the district offers counseling services that assist with academic planning, career exploration, and personal development. The school counselor is available to discuss career interests, graduation requirements, and college preparedness topics, as well as to address any personal or academic concerns impacting student success.
In the fall of 1997, ISD 362 moved into a new K-12 facility in Littlefork. This $10 million facility houses state-of-the-art technology, including new computer systems and networks. The high school wing features two computer labs equipped with digital projection screens, and the media center offers 40 wireless laptop computers on portable carts for student use. The commons area, separating the high school and elementary wings, serves as a gathering space for students during breakfast and lunch. Additionally, the facility includes a high school gym and a weight room with top-of-the-line workout equipment.
ISD 362 values the involvement of parents and community members in the educational process. The district encourages participation through various avenues, including school board meetings, volunteer opportunities, and community events. This collaborative approach ensures that the district remains responsive to the needs and aspirations of its stakeholders.
Registration is open to all resident students. Non-resident families interested in enrolling their children must complete an open enrollment application in addition to the standard registration form. Additional forms and documentation, such as bus transportation forms and applications for educational benefits, are also required.
The district is actively seeking individuals interested in substitute teaching and custodial positions. Substitute teaching candidates must be able to obtain a short-term substitute teacher’s license, and all candidates must pass a background check.
