About the AI on this siteHow ifalls.news uses AI

ifalls.news is a small operation, and much of what you read here is written by AI systems we run. They read public sources, such as city and county agendas and minutes, school newsletters, park, weather and water-level services, and community calendars, and turn them into the articles, roundups and listings on this site. The box at the top of an AI-written article names the AI model and the sources it worked from.

Every automated article goes through automated checks before it publishes: one for structure and wording, and for most of our feeds a fact-check that compares the draft against its sources. A draft that fails is held for a person to look at. We do not read every article before it goes live. People review some of what publishes, spot-check the rest, and fix what readers report.

That means mistakes get through: a wrong date, a misspelled name, a number read off the wrong line, a meeting that was rescheduled after the agenda posted. For anything that matters, such as a meeting time, a closure, a deadline or a price, check the original source linked in the article.

If you spot an error, tell us through the correction form or at info@ifalls.news. We fix errors as soon as we see them.

Content on this site is provided as is. ifalls.news, Small Town Tech Inc., their staff and partners are not liable for decisions made on the strength of an AI-written article, and an AI-written article does not state a position of ifalls.news or its staff.

Community Roundup: March 10, 2026

Warm temperatures are nudging winter out the door in International Falls — the Rainy Lake ice road at Voyageurs National Park closed Monday as melting ice and water puddling made conditions unsafe. Meanwhile, there’s plenty to cheer about tonight: four local hockey standouts take the ice at NorthStar Ford Arena for the Essentia Health All-Star Game.

Weather — A partly sunny Tuesday with a high near 35°F and light east winds — decent late-winter weather for getting outside. Tonight drops to around 15°F under mostly cloudy skies. Wednesday brings sunshine and a high near 33°F, a pleasant stretch to close out the week. Full forecast →

Voyageurs National Park announced Monday that the Rainy Lake ice road is now closed due to recent warm temperatures. Melting ice and significant water puddling on the roadway have created unsafe travel conditions, and the Black Bay trail system is also closed as a result.

“Park staff will continue to monitor conditions as spring brings inevitable changes to our winter routes and activities.”

Good news for those heading to the Kabetogama area: the ice road from Kabetogama to Ash River remains open. For the latest trail and access conditions, bookmark nps.gov/voya/planyourvisit/conditions. Voyageurs National Park

Rainy Lake Medical Center therapists brought hands-on science to Falls Elementary last week during STEAM Night, helping students build working models of hands that demonstrate how tendons help us move, grip, and play. The kids were fully engaged — and the RLMC team says community involvement like this is one of the best parts of the job.

“The kids were fully hands-on (literally!) and our team loved every second.”

From coaching and refereeing to adaptive skiing and local volunteering, RLMC says sharing their skills with the next generation is something they’re truly proud of. Rainy Lake Medical Center
