About the AI on this siteHow ifalls.news uses AI

ifalls.news is a small operation, and much of what you read here is written by AI systems we run. They read public sources, such as city and county agendas and minutes, school newsletters, park, weather and water-level services, and community calendars, and turn them into the articles, roundups and listings on this site. The box at the top of an AI-written article names the AI model and the sources it worked from.

Every automated article goes through automated checks before it publishes: one for structure and wording, and for most of our feeds a fact-check that compares the draft against its sources. A draft that fails is held for a person to look at. We do not read every article before it goes live. People review some of what publishes, spot-check the rest, and fix what readers report.

That means mistakes get through: a wrong date, a misspelled name, a number read off the wrong line, a meeting that was rescheduled after the agenda posted. For anything that matters, such as a meeting time, a closure, a deadline or a price, check the original source linked in the article.

If you spot an error, tell us through the correction form or at info@ifalls.news. We fix errors as soon as we see them.

Content on this site is provided as is. ifalls.news, Small Town Tech Inc., their staff and partners are not liable for decisions made on the strength of an AI-written article, and an AI-written article does not state a position of ifalls.news or its staff.

Winnipeg Folk Trio The Janzen Boys to Play First-Ever International Falls Show March 19

The Janzen Boys, a harmony-rich folk and roots trio from Winnipeg, Canada, are making their first-ever trip to International Falls for a full evening of music on Thursday, March 19, at the John Faith Little Theatre inside the Backus Community Center.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:00 p.m. The trio will play two 45-minute sets with a short break in between. It’s an all-ages show.

About The Janzen Boys

Led by Mick Janzen alongside his father and a close friend, The Janzen Boys have been performing together since 2012, when they started out busking at The Forks market in Winnipeg. What began as a casual father-and-son act quickly grew into a touring folk band known for tight three-part harmonies and heartfelt songwriting.

Their sound draws comparisons to Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, and the Barenaked Ladies. They’ve also been called “the Wailin’ Jennys of male harmony trios” by Roots Music Canada.

Since 2024, the trio has toured relentlessly across Canada, building a loyal following through grassroots live performances and a strong online presence — with more than 60,000 social media followers and 13,000 physical records sold.

New Music on the Way

The Janzen Boys are currently working on their upcoming project, The Great Unknown, produced by Murray Pulver (Crash Test Dummies, Doc Walker) and Trey Mills (Forest Blakk). With funding from FACTOR Canada and Manitoba Film & Music, the project promises a mix of originals, traditional songs, and country-driven rockers.

What People Are Saying

“For starters, they are the Wailin’ Jennys of male harmony trios… If you think dudes can’t move you with the beauty of their delicately intermingling voices, you need to hear the Janzen Boys sing ‘One for the Road.’”
— Heather Kitching, Roots Music Canada

“I have never booked someone to the Calgary Folk Club without seeing them live, but I did with these guys.”
— Suze Casey, Artistic Director, Calgary Folk Club
