International Falls Community Photo Contest
Every month we pick a winning photo that captures something special about International Falls, Koochiching County, or the Voyageurs region. The winner takes home a gift certificate to a local restaurant — a small thank-you from us and a way to support the businesses that make the Falls feel like home.

How It Works
- Submit a photo using the form below (JPG or PNG, up to 8MB).
- Our team reviews every entry for content and image quality before it appears in the gallery. Please allow 1–3 business days for approval.
- Approved entries are displayed in the gallery on this page for the remainder of the month.
- At the end of each month, we announce the winning photo and notify the submitter by email.
- The winner receives a gift certificate to a featured local restaurant.
The fine print — but in plain English
Contest Rules
- Photos must be your own original work — no stock images, no AI-generated content, and no photos taken by someone else.
- Subject matter should relate to International Falls, Koochiching County, Ash River, Kabetogama, Voyageurs National Park, or the broader Rainy Lake / Border Region.
- No photos featuring minors unless you are the parent or guardian and include written consent when you submit.
- Photos must not contain offensive, obscene, copyrighted, or otherwise inappropriate content.
- Photos should be in focus and large enough to display well (at least 1200 px on the long edge is recommended).
- You may submit up to 3 different photos per month.
- Entries are accepted throughout each calendar month. Monthly winners are selected in the first week of the following month.
- Eligibility: Contest is open to residents of Koochiching County and the surrounding Minnesota counties — Lake of the Woods, Beltrami, Itasca, and St. Louis. Submissions require a valid ZIP code in one of these counties.
- Prize pickup: The monthly gift certificate must be picked up in person in the International Falls area. We are not able to mail or ship prizes.
- Entrants 18 and older are eligible to receive the gift certificate prize directly. For entrants under 18, a parent or guardian must pick up the prize on the winner’s behalf.

Fine print
By submitting a photo to the ifalls.guide Monthly Photo Contest, you confirm that you are the original creator of the photo and that you hold all rights to it. You grant ifalls.guide and its operators a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, display, and share your submitted photo on the ifalls.guide website, social media channels, and related promotional material, with credit given to you as the submitter. You retain ownership of your photo and may use it elsewhere without restriction. ifalls.guide reserves the right to decline, remove, or disqualify any submission at its sole discretion, including submissions that do not meet the contest rules, contain inappropriate content, or appear to be fraudulent. Winners are selected at the sole discretion of the ifalls.guide editorial team and decisions are final. The gift certificate prize is sponsored by a participating local restaurant and is subject to the issuing restaurant’s terms. ifalls.guide is not responsible for lost, late, delayed, or misdirected submissions due to technical issues. No purchase necessary. Contest is void where prohibited by law.
