Support ifalls.news

Thanks for reading

ifalls.news is free, and it stays free. The articles, the events calendar, the business directory, the water levels, the photo galleries: all of it is open to anybody who lands here, with no account and no paywall. That is not going to change. Recurring supporters also get the daily edition by email.

It does cost money to run: hosting, the domain, the licenses behind the maps and the page layouts, and the hours it takes to sit with a county board packet so you do not have to. A few local sponsors cover part of that. If the site is worth something to you, you can cover a little of the rest.

What supporting does

  • Keeps every part of the site free to read. No paywall, not now and not later.
  • Pays the hosting bill, the domain and the reporting tools behind the maps, the calendar and the water levels.
  • Keeps the site answering to the people who read it instead of to a third-party ad network.

What you get for it

Honestly, not much yet, and we would rather say so than dress it up. Nothing on this site is locked, so there is no members-only corner to let you into. What is planned: a profile you can set up the way you want, and a way for vetted members to contribute to the site with photos, event listings, or a piece of their own. Neither is built. When they are, supporters hear about it first.

Already supporting the site? Your subscription carries on exactly as it is. Nothing on this page changes it and there is nothing you need to do.

If you would rather not use a card

Call 218-240-8802 and we will work it out, or mail a check to the address below. Either is welcome and neither is worth any less.

If you are a business

Sponsorship is a different thing, with your name in the rotation across the site. Same phone number. Give us a call and we will walk you through it.
