Vermilion Falls sits at the end of a short, easy walk from a Forest Service pullout off Forest Route 491. A wooden viewing platform steps down toward the river and gives a clear look at the drop as the Vermilion River narrows and spills through the rocks. Paired with the Vermilion Gorge Trail a few miles away, the falls are the easier of the two places to reach, with similar scenery and a fraction of the effort.
